Terms of Use and Sale

Last updated: 25. Oktober 2026

In short: you pay once for an app, on your TV or your Mac, there is no subscription, and you have 14 days to change your mind. You pay through Kiwify, with Pix or a card in Brazil and with a card from anywhere else. Our Mac apps are sold by us and also by Apple on the Mac App Store. Our apps are independent and not affiliated with Google, LG or Apple.

1. Who we are

Jabuti Labs ("we", "us") is an independent app developer based in São Paulo, SP, Brasilien. When you use or buy one of our apps, your agreement is with Jabuti Labs. You can reach us at contato@jabutilabs.app.br.

2. Accepting these terms

These terms apply to our apps, including Photos on TV ("Fotos na TV"), Veracard, Wakeful, Extracta, DiskOrbit and Convert Anything, to this website and to any purchase you make from us. By installing, using or buying an app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the apps.

3. The apps and your licence

  • We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use our apps for your own, non-commercial purposes.
  • Photos on TV is free to use with its demo album. Showing your own albums requires a one-time unlock. Each unlock applies to the TV on which it was bought. If you reset the TV or reinstall the app, you can restore the unlock as explained in the app or by writing to us.
  • A Mac app bought on the Mac App Store is licensed to you under Apple's standard licence for App Store apps (the Licensed Application End User License Agreement), on the Macs your Apple Account allows.
  • A Mac app bought directly from us comes with a personal licence for up to 5 Macs you use yourself, and a licence key (VERA-… for Veracard, WAKE-… for Wakeful, EXTR-… for Extracta, DISK-… for DiskOrbit, CONV-… for Convert Anything). The download is free; the app works once activated. You activate the app with the key, or with the email (or the CPF, with Pix) you paid with, and you can free a Mac's place from the app. Please don't share it with others.
  • Unlock codes we give out (for example, to reviewers or as gifts) are personal and may not be sold or published.

4. Prices and payment

  • Prices are shown on our pricing page and in the app before you pay. Purchases are one-time payments. There are no subscriptions and no automatic renewals.
  • Purchases from us. Payments are processed by Kiwify, a Brazilian payment platform, with Pix or a credit card in Brazil and with a credit card from other countries. The seller is Jabuti Labs. The amount shown at checkout is the final amount; a bank outside Brazil may add its own conversion fee. Kiwify's terms of use also apply to the payment.
  • Purchases on the Mac App Store. When you buy one of our Mac apps there, it is sold by Apple, which takes the payment, issues the receipt and handles refunds under Apple's Media Services Terms. We never receive your payment details.
  • The unlock or licence is delivered automatically on your TV or Mac once the payment is confirmed. If it doesn't arrive, contact us.

5. Refunds

You can ask for a refund within 14 days of purchase, for any reason, as described in our refund policy. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under consumer law, including the right of withdrawal under Brazil's Consumer Protection Code (art. 49) and the consumer laws of your country.

6. Your albums and other services

  • Photos on TV shows albums that you or others have shared by link on Google Photos. The app doesn't store, copy or publish your photos on any server of ours. The TV loads them directly from Google.
  • Only add albums that you have the right to view. Anyone with an album's link can see it, so share links with care.
  • Google Photos is a service of Google LLC, and its availability and terms are Google's. If Google changes how shared albums work, parts of the app may stop working. We'll do our best to adapt, but we can't promise to.
  • Our apps are independent. They are not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by Google or LG. Google Photos is a trademark of Google LLC. LG and webOS are trademarks of LG Electronics.

7. Fair use

You agree not to:

  • use the apps for anything unlawful, or to show content you have no right to show;
  • commit fraud, for example by using stolen payment details, or send spam through our contact channels;
  • copy, resell or redistribute the apps, or infringe our or anyone else's intellectual property;
  • get around the unlock, reverse engineer the apps to do so, or share unlock codes publicly;
  • interfere with the security of our services, for example by spreading malware, probing for vulnerabilities, overloading them or scraping them.

8. Intellectual property

The apps, this website, our name and our logo belong to Jabuti Labs. Buying an unlock gives you a licence to use an app, not ownership of it. The photos in the demo album are in the public domain; their sources are listed in the app.

9. No guarantees

We work hard to keep our apps running well, but we can't promise that they will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors, or that they will work on every TV model or with every album. The apps depend on your TV, your network and third-party services such as Google Photos. Veracard's results describe how a card or drive behaved while it was being tested; a card that passes can still fail later, so keep copies of files that matter. DiskOrbit's advice on what is safe to delete is guidance: you choose what to delete, and it goes to the Trash first. As far as the law allows, the apps are provided "as is".

10. Limitation of liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim related to an app is limited to the amount you paid for that app. This doesn't limit any liability that cannot be limited by law, including your rights as a consumer.

11. Suspension and termination

We may deactivate an unlock or stop serving you if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if a payment is reversed or charged back, or if we have reason to believe a purchase was fraudulent or puts the security of our services at risk. You may stop using the apps at any time.

12. Changes

We may update these terms, for example when we add an app or a payment method. The date at the top shows the latest version. Changes don't take away what you have already paid for.

13. Applicable law

These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. If you are a consumer living in another country, you also keep the protections that the mandatory laws of your country give you, and you may bring a claim in your local courts.
